I want to learn!

You’re here because you want to learn how to sing or play an instrument.

Piano lessons? We've got you covered. Voice lessons? Yep. Violin, viola, cello, horn, clarinet? Of course! All those and more are available for online music lessons today. We work to make great musical instruction accessible for students of all ages and skill levels.

Not sure if you're ready to sign up for music lessons just yet? That's ok! Get in touch and let us know how we can help!

Curious about how online music lessons work? Check out these videos featuring recordings of real lessons that took place over Zoom.

Ok, how do I get started?

A few easy steps:

  1. View the teacher profiles below, find someone that teaches the instrument you're looking to learn, and fill out the form below to help us match you with a teacher!

  2. If schedules align, the teacher will follow up to share more information and set up a time to connect.

  3. Let us know if you have any questions or need any help getting started!

A few things to know:

  • Studious is here to facilitate connections, so the individual teachers choose their schedule, fees, curriculum and work all that out with you directly.

  • Studious is currently free for students and teachers. 100% of the lesson fees go to the instructor.

  • For the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic, we recommend all instruction be virtual, subject to relevant public health authorities and the guidelines they post. We also know that teaching an instrument remotely can present unique challenges, but that many music teachers have successfully adapted. It is possible and we're here to help!

  • What will I need to start learning? You'll need an instrument, a web-enabled device like a laptop or tablet, and a stable internet connection. The teacher will likely also recommend some music and/or beginning instructional materials.

  • What can I expect when I start lessons? Your teacher will be your best resource here. Talking with them about what to expect as well as what goals you might have is a great place to start for both teacher and student. But for reference, many students start with weekly lessons of 30 to 45 minutes. You should also plan some time to practice every day between lessons--even a little every day will help you make progress toward your goals!
